DRY CARGO RIVER CHARTERING
River established itself as main cargo flow facility till
1999 closure due to the NATO bombardment and
consequent Novi Sad bridge closure.
Anyhow, even after the disrupture, the cargo flow is
slowly recovering, either as transit or as import/export
of goods. Slight recovery in national and regional
economy also raised the demand for good transportation
services.

A part from Danube ports, Serbia is also interesting in
regard of rivers Tisa and Sava connections. This two
rivers are fully navigable through the great part of the
year and, most important, they are serving two
growing regions - Hungarian Banat region (abt. 5.5 MIO
MT of wheats annually) and Bosnian industrial region
(abt 2.5 MIO MT of ores, steels, wheats etc.).Last
year the traffic of cargo Vessels upsoared to some 6835
foreign and 1584 domestic flag Vessels entrance in Serbia,
either as destination or transit. Although the break in last
15 years severely endangered this waterways, recent
swift change of their status (from bilateral or internal to
international) and growing demand of tonnage, proves
the validity of this European waterways.
